Technical Note: Horizonal Wall Cladding
It is important to note that horizontally laid wall cladding sheets may twist as they follow the multiple tolerances of a building framework. This could result in surface distortion. If deformation occurs it will be far more visible in reflective coatings such as the metallic finishes available in Corus Colorcoat Prisma® and PVDF coated materials.
The application of horizontal cladding combining high gloss finishes with dark colours is not recommended by Euroclad. If this type of application is employed great care needs to be taken during installation to achieve an acceptable result. Any inconsistency in the external face of the sheet would be purely cosmetic and would not affect published performance figures.
